	We deeply sorry with the passing away academician Sergey Mergelian, eminent scientist and citizen




	On June 23-24, 2008 "From Idea to Market" workshop will be held at Mariott-Armenia hotel aimed to assist scientists and researchers to learn how to plan, finance and operate their own business, license their technologies, protect IP rights, as well as to bring innovations into the marketplace and build strategic partnerships with national and international corporations.




	On the occasion of Republic Day the Academician of NAS RA Sergey N. Mergelyan has been awarded with Saint Mesrop Mashtotz Medal by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia




	On June 4, 2008 at 11:00 the Ceremonial Session of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia will be held, devoted to 80th anniversary of academician Sergey N. Mergelyan. The event will take place in the session hall of the NAS RA (M. Baghramyan ave. 24)




	On April 25, 2008, the annual General Report Meeting of NAS RA will be held in Conference Hall of NAS RA (basic results of the scientific and scientific organizational activities of the 2007 year). On April 22-23, 2008, the annual report meetings of the departments will be held.




	The Young Scientists Conference "Perspectives for Development of Molecular and Cellular Biology" organized by the Institute of Molecular Biology NAS RA will take place on March 30-31, 2008 in Yerevan (Armenia). Deadline for abstract submission is March 1, 2008. For further details please download the Announcement.




	The International Conference "Biotechnology and Health" -2 organized by Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, Institute of Molecular Biology NAS RA, and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will take place on April 21-25, 2008 in Yerevan (Armenia). 	International Conference on Chemistry and Chemical Technology, dedicated to 50th Anniversary of foundation of Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry after M.G. Manvelyan (NAS RA ), will be held from October 22-25, Yerevan , 2007




	On September 7-10, 2007, the 5th IEEE East-West Design & Test International Symposium will be held in Yerevan, Armenia




	On the 8th of June, 2007 President of NAS RA Radik Martirosyan and Academician-Secretary of the Division of Armenology and Social Sciences of NAS RA Vladimir Barkhudarian were awarded with "St. Sahak - St. Mesrop" honour decoration order.




	According to the decision of Presidium of NAS RA of May 23, 2007 professor, doctor of Trier University Wolfgang Luh is conferred with a title of Honorary doctor of NAS RA, taking into consideration his scientific input, significant role in Mathematics and particularly in promotion of Armenian-German cooperation in the field of Mathematics.
